The Orchids Plus setup contains over 70,000 images and it takes a significant amount of time to move those files from the DVD to your computer.
Depending on the speed and resources of your computer, installation might take anywhere from 3 hours to 10 hours.
Antivirus software may slow down the installation, so turning off your antivirus software until after the Orchids Plus installation is complete can help.
Closing other programs on your computer may free up memory which can help the installation process run faster.
Still, be prepared for a long installation process. We recommend starting the installation before you go to bed and let it run all night so it can be done for you the following morning.
Note that you certainly can continue using your computer while the Orchids Plus installation is underway. Just know that any memory or CPU intensive programs (like graphics software or games) may end up causing the install to take more time. But editing documents and other tasks that are not resource intensive are perfectly fine.
